TODAY IS TUESDAY…
Tuesday is usually a slow day, an “off” day, where my (paper–LOL) planner has in big loopy letters, “READ” and “RELAX.” It’s often a day for self-care and/or catching up. TODAY, Tuesday, April 7th was the exception!
Since I invited a young friend to dinner the night before, and we visited and debated such topics as was Buddhism a philosophy or a religion (His mother is Vietnamese, so I was introduced to some non-traditional ideas), it was past midnight when I went to bed. I awoke fuzzy-headed and dragging-tailed. I was so out of it that I forgot my morning cup of Joe. Now, that’s bad! When I arrived at Apogee, with my neighbor attending our Sports Camp, I staggered through the middle of a game of…whatever…to the kitchen where my boss-lady gently hugged me, found the Kurig cups, and gave me a cup of caffeine infusion.
My compadre and her daughter (a student at the school) and I tackled the mess of the Apogee library. Then I scooted off late to a sorority field trip to the Brazoria County Child Welfare department where we learned much about CPS and how we could help. This was followed by lunch at The Teaspoon, a lovely tea room run by a lovely lady here in Alvin, TX. Until I picked up my “charge” from Camp, I ran errands and worked on all those TO DO Post It notes. Unfortunately, there was a bad wreck on the Bypass, and it took us a Loooooong time to get home. My across-the-street neighbor, whom I have dubbed Chef Alex brought over a plate of what he had prepared for his family’s dinner. I am truly blessed in the friends God has put in my path!
Today turned out to be busy, slightly stressful, but a good day. Thank You, Lord for another day!
This is the day the Lord hath made. I will rejoice and be glad [FOR] it!
